The bid price is the highest price a buyer is willing to pay for a currency or asset. In forex, it is the price you receive when you sell a currency pair. The bid is always lower than the ask price.

Example in context

If EUR/USD is quoted as 1.0849 / 1.0851, the bid price is 1.0849 — the price you receive when you sell euros.
